August 27, 2012, Story and Slideshow By Marla Blair, They came; they cooked; they made Lincoln’s downtown square smell like a giant backyard cookout. Forty-four teams competed this weekend in the second annual Up in Smoke on the Square, a Kansas City Barbeque Society-sanctioned competition. A handful of grill masters went home with trophies, but the top ten in each category were acknowledged for their cooking prowess and will have bragging rights for their efforts. For all who participated, may they continue their practice runs during the coming year and return in 2013. The story and slideshow is presented by Graue Inc. (Click for more)
